About
Sol Space is a yoga, sculpt, and Zumba studio in Chicago's *Jefferson Park* neighborhood, founded in July 2025 by two local moms, Jackie Bravo and her business partner Georgina. Jackie brings a background in *physical therapy* and early childhood development to the studio's teaching style, and the two started Sol Space to build a wellness space their own working-class neighborhood could actually use.
The studio runs *20 to 25 classes a week* out of its Lawrence Avenue location and has built a 5.0-star reputation across 37 Google reviews in its first year, with members repeatedly citing the welcoming, judgment-free atmosphere and the founders' hands-on involvement in every class.
Sol Space also operates a *coworking and childcare partnership* with Sunny Village Kids Cafe two doors down, letting parents pair a yoga membership with on-site childcare — a combination several members specifically call out as the reason they joined.
What to expect
Weekly programming centers on yoga, sculpt, and Zumba, including *Latin Sculpt* and kickboxing-inspired formats, taught by an instructor team that includes Elita, Margaret, and Joy alongside founder Jackie, who still leads about seven classes a week herself.
Sol Space is reintroducing *toddler and kids yoga* for the new school year alongside its existing mommy-and-me classes, and hosts at least one free community yoga class per month at a nearby park.
Workshops and creative sessions round out the schedule beyond straight fitness classes, and class booking runs through the studio's Arketa scheduling app linked from its website — students can browse the full weekly lineup and reserve a spot before ever walking in the door.
Highlights
Every Friday from 7 to 8 p.m., Sol Space hosts *Friday Night Feature*, a free-to-members community event led by neighbors — past sessions have covered basic investing and CPR, and the studio's curriculum through December leans toward dance-based formats.
The studio's teaching philosophy is *alignment-based rather than performance-based*, with instructors trained to modify poses so beginners and advanced students can practice in the same room — a principle founder Jackie sums up as "yoga is for every body," painted on the studio's own wall.
Pricing
New students can start with a *30-day unlimited intro offer for $69*. Ongoing membership is $99 a month for unlimited classes, drop-ins run $29 per class, and class packs range from $140 for five classes up to $450 for twenty. Kids classes are $25 each.
Every membership tier includes Friday Night Feature at no extra cost, which is where the studio's *"wellness is not a luxury"* philosophy shows up most directly in the pricing itself rather than just in the marketing copy.
Good to know
Sol Space is located at 5922 W Lawrence Ave with its *own parking lot* right at the door, a detail parents in particular call out as a reason the studio is easy to fit into a weekly routine.
The studio offers occasional free kids yoga sessions for families who aren't ready to commit to a membership, and is planning a five-day retreat in *Oaxaca, Mexico* for February 2027 at Hotel Mazul in Puerto Escondido, limited to ten spots.
