About
The Yoga Room is *The Yoga Rooms'* Twin Cities studio, located in Edina, Minnesota right at the border with Minneapolis on France Avenue. It's the second location from owner Wendy Oberg, who opened the brand's original 'mothership' studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 2016 after discovering yoga through her Aunt Pat in Santa Monica, California.
The studio's mission is to make *yoga and Pilates easy and affordable for everybody*, built on an internal philosophy the team calls 'Ember Keepers' — the idea that teachers keep the practice's flame alive for their students. Studio manager Madison Herzfeld has run the Edina location since 2017 and personally follows up with every new student after their first class.
The Edina studio opened about four years ago, and its multiple practice rooms are set to different temperatures — a 105-degree infrared hot room, an 80-degree warm room, and a regular-temperature room — so students can choose their intensity.
What to expect
The signature class is *Yoga Room Flow*, a vinyasa-based practice, alongside entry-level options like Yoga for Everybody and Calm for first-timers. The studio also teaches *Kaivita*, a joint-friendly style that draws an older clientele, plus Yoga Sculpt for strength and conditioning, mat Pilates, and cycling.
Classes run 45 to 75 minutes, with around *70 classes a week* at the Edina location. The Yoga Rooms also runs a registered yoga school with an eight-month teacher training program in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Beyond the studio, owner Wendy Oberg leads *Yoga Rooms Adventure Retreats* — trips to Nosara, Costa Rica twice a year, two retreats in Tulum, Mexico, and one on a private island near Panama City — each combining morning meditation, vinyasa flow, and afternoon Pilates.
Highlights
The studio's biggest differentiator is its *personal follow-up process*: every new student gets checked in with after their first class and again at the one- and two-week marks, so newcomers find the classes, times, and teachers that fit them instead of dropping in once and disappearing.
The Edina studio also avoids labeling equipment by weight or skill level, part of a deliberate effort to keep the space *free of pressure or comparison* for people trying yoga for the first time.
Pricing
New students can start with a *30-day unlimited intro offer for $59*. After that, a No Limits Unlimited membership runs $149 per month (first payment $129, one-month minimum), and a 10-class pack is $230, valid for 12 months.
Good to know
The Yoga Room is at *4500 France Ave S in Edina*, right where Edina meets Minneapolis, with free parking on site. Studio hours run 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
The studio holds a *5-star Google rating* across 60 reviews. Some members attend twice a day, using an early class before work and a second one in the evening.
Class schedules, the intro offer, and membership options are all posted on The Yoga Rooms' website; new-student questions can also go to the Edina team directly by phone or email.
