About
Hush Sushi, Kitchen & Bar is an *upscale sushi restaurant* in the heart of *Keller, Texas*, known for premium *Spanish bluefin tuna*, craft cocktails, and an award-winning wine and sake program. Locally owned and operated, it has become one of the *Dallas–Fort Worth* area's premier sushi destinations.
Hush was founded by husband-and-wife restaurateurs *Tommy Zheng and Donny Wu*, who opened the restaurant during the pandemic after relocating to Texas. What began as a plan to subdivide a large commercial building grew far more ambitious — they purchased the entire *6,000-square-foot* property and transformed it into a single restaurant built around premium sushi and an elevated beverage program.
Now approaching its fourth anniversary, Hush blends traditional Japanese technique with a polished yet welcoming experience. Guests often assume it belongs to a large restaurant group, but it remains proudly independent and run by owners who live in town.
What to expect
Hush is best known for its *premium Spanish Bluefin Tuna*, with quarter-loins of roughly 125 pounds arriving on a near bi-weekly basis. Those exceptional cuts anchor the *Bluefin Omakase* and premium nigiri offerings.
Popular first-time orders include the *Bluefin Omakase*, premium bluefin nigiri, the *Hush Hush Roll*, Pineapple Express Roll, Crunch Belly Roll, assorted sashimi, and fresh nigiri selections.
Beyond sushi, Hush offers cooked entrées including a *Wagyu burger and steak*, making it a strong choice for groups where not everyone wants sushi. The bar complements the menu with an extensive *wine and sake collection*, craft cocktails, and a deep selection of rare Japanese whisky.
Highlights
Hush has earned the *Wine Spectator Award of Excellence (2025)* and has been named *Best Sushi* by Living Magazine three years running (2023–2025), with additional recognition from Fort Worth Weekly and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Reader's Choice.
The restaurant is known for *exceptionally sourced seafood*, an award-winning beverage program, and an atmosphere that feels elevated without being overly formal — equally suited to date nights, celebrations, client dinners, and family meals.
Owners *Tommy Zheng and Donny Wu* stay hands-on in daily operations, a philosophy that has built a reputation for *consistency, hospitality, and attention to detail* guests notice from the moment they arrive.
Pricing
Hush sits in the *upscale* range for Keller, in line with a premium sushi and omakase experience. Expect a higher per-person spend, especially when ordering bluefin omakase or premium nigiri.
*Hush Hour* runs Monday–Friday from *3–6 PM* with reduced pricing on select bites and drinks. Every *Sunday*, wine bottles under $200 are *half price*.
Reservations are available through Resy, and the restaurant accommodates group dining and private events.

I have been here four times. The waiters often have good recommendations. Their version of potstickers is by far my favorite appetizer. I can’t remember what it’s called. It’s something like GOIZAH.
It’s pretty fun…

Hush in Keller knows exactly what it’s doing—and doesn’t overplay it.
Service was spot on: attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without feeling rehearsed. The kind of team that just gets it.

Didn't live up to the hype. It was above average but negligible. I had the Hush rainbow which didn't have me like WOW! The crab rangoons and edemame were delicious. Brass tacks, was it worth the over an hour round…
