Tin Shed Garden Cafe, in Portland's Alberta Arts District, is a *dog-friendly* brunch restaurant opened in February 2002 by Christie Griffin and Janette Kaden. The cafe focuses on *connection over commerce*, serving comfort-food brunch with a creative twist in a funky, art-filled space.
What to expect
The menu centers on scrambles served over potato cakes or cheese grits, including *The Good Dog* (pork sausage, jalapeno, bell pepper, and chipotle sauce), *The Stay* (roasted vegetables with mushroom-rosemary gravy), and the *Killingsworth* (bacon, shiitake mushroom, and rosemary-mushroom gravy) - each served with a house-made buttermilk biscuit.
Beyond scrambles, the cafe serves sandwiches, salads, and thick-cut *French toast* with lemon curd and fresh berries, plus a full bar known for *Bloody Marys and Mimosas served in pints* and in-house infused vodkas.
